Memory Loss

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Franklinton, LA

Howdy again, Migraine Warriors. I'm dealing with a symptom that seems to have dual causes & I'm curious who else struggles with it & how they deal with it, especially ways to reverse the effects. Memory loss. Like, severe dementia-style memory loss. Scary, will-i-wake-up-tomorrow-&-not-know-who-i-am scary. My causes seem to be migraine compounded by years of gabapentin (neurontin) use. I've gotten several responses from my PCP about it from 'your only option is to quit the gabapentin & hope for… read more

What Insider Info Can I Get On Botox Injections, Side Effects, & Efficacy?

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Franklinton, LA

Hi. I FINALLY got approved to start my migraine treatments & as soon as my card comes in Im going in. I'm lucky to have finally found a migraine specialist/neurologist who understands, listens, & works with & for me. She calls Botox the gold standard. I'm looking forward to it in hopes that it works, but I'll be honest, I'm freaked out. I've read all the drug info. Now I'd like to learn from my fellow migraineurs. What might I need/want to be aware of in regards to the injections, side effects… read more

Vail, CO

Dont they realize in pain and with body not finctioning, easier is better. My poor pill was all crushed up today by the time i got it under my tongue to dissolve. Guess it got in my system quicker.

Has Anyone Had The Reed Procedure For Migraines? Was It Successful?

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Halls, TN

I've read about it, and it sounds interesting, but I worry that it is not FDA approved. I take so many medications, though, plus Botox, and am still not migraine-free. I am ready to consider this.

Do You Feel More On Edge And Anxious After A Migraine Has Ended??

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Grand Rapids, MI area

Today I had a migraine and felt like the aftermath lasted almost all day. I know tiredness is a sign of the migraines being over but I also today noticed higher anxiety, a blah feeling, on edge and not wanting to do much of anything that require high mentality to do. Has anyone experienced this or know if this is normal after a migraine? It could also have been a symptom of my second one coming. Anyone know if this is a precursor or post migraine symptom? How do you handle this?

A MyMigraineTeam Member

Yup!
