I am dealing with one person who does not get migraines and she does not understand the help I need, the activities I can not do when I have one, how sluggish I feel after it and that I can not give it my all when I have a migraine etc. How do you get your needs met but not be rude to the people who do not understand? What helps them to understand , listen to you, or be more willing to help you?Really struggling with these type of interactions. Thanks for your help.

If You Were Bullied For Your Migraines, How Did You Get Over Your Depressing Feelings?
Classmates and teachers have bullied me for my migraines and lately I kinda feel like I’m just not wanted. So how would you explain the feeling of a migraine to someone, and how would you get over the feeling of simply feeling unwanted and worthless?

If Married And You've Been Dealing With Chronic Pain For Years How Has It Affected Your Marriage?
After five years of severe daily migraines that have affected my nervous system and caused pain to spread to other parts of my body, my marriage has suffered greatly. I keep a lot to myself but my husband is still suffering from empathy fatigue. You can only hear about how much pain someone is in for so long before it becomes the same as hearing the weather report. I do as much as I can. I keep the frig stocked and hired a house keeper but it's the emotional support I miss so much. The hugs and… read more

Do You Feel Guilty About Things You Can Not Do?
It is a beautiful sunny day, the kind of day that I should be out doing some yard work. But, I just can't. My husband works at least 60 hours a week and this weekend he is working on my summer car. We have hired someone to do our yard work and some inside work that I am unable to do. I find it frustrating, and embarrassing that I have to hire someone to work for me and I find myself feeling very guilty. I don't know how to deal with these emotions. I was always the doer, the one that if you… read more

Who Wants To Join Me In Protesting These New Super Stronger Fragrances In Absolutely Everything?
If y'all are like me, you can't tolerate these super strong fragrances that they are adding to all products. Recently my "dumb" husband (his words not mine!) accidentally purchased a cleanser for the dishwasher, not paying attention to the fragrance listed in the ingredients. Needless to say I get a migraine everytime the dishwasher door is opened now. We have tried everything suggested on the Internet on how to get rid of the perfume, but nothing has worked for over a month. The chemical… read more

Anyone Who Struggles With Vestibular Migraines?
I'm having trouble getting through daily life when the symptoms don't stop or lessen for weeks at a time.
I'm also having issues with people at work who act like nothing is wrong with me and I should just do what they ask because I "look fine".... has anyone delt with situations like this? What is a good way of handling people who think you are lazy, when you are trying your best to do what you can within your abilities? I feel like I'm talking to brick walls.
Yes I did and if I knew what I know now I would have gone out on disability. Migraines are a disability and I didn’t know it.
