I was wondering if anyone else suffers with headaches and migraines from other underlining health or mental issues?

TMJ was the main cause of my migraines. Another big trigger is the arthritis in my neck.

Yes, i used to get them from grinding my teeth. TMJ. Went through so many mouth guards. Not cheap! And painful to wear! I went to pt for that. Little did i know how much putting your tongue on the roof of your mouth relaxes your jaw. Somehow, i quit grinding and my TMJ got better and my jaw stopped cracking. I dont know how but it did.

I am glad the surgeries helped! I've had three surgeries a long time ago and they helped but every now and again, if I am in a cold humid climate, they hurt. But I will not rule out that maybe some changes in there are referring pain somewhere else. Thank!

I didn't have TMJ pain until 7 months after the migraines started. Please have your TMJ looked at now. I don't want anyone to go through the daily excruciating pain I had. I didn't figure out it was TMJ until it got to where I suddenly had the worst TMJ pain I had ever had. I had severe migraines every time the TMJ flared up. By then it was so painful to chew that I had to live on protein shakes for 4 months while I was being treated for the TMJ. My specialist was unable to help and sent me to a top expert who performed minor surgery and I went from daily migraines to 8 migraine days a month. And those migraines are mild to moderate pain. Chances are you won't need surgery if you get evaluated now. By the time I figured out it was my TMJ it had gotten too bad to be fixed by non-invasive treatments.

Interesting. I have had over a month now of migraines and nausea and just the past two days, I started wondering if it is at all coming from my TMJ injury 20 years ago. My TMJ's don't really bother me, but I wonder if any changes in there or nerves around there are causing something. I ended up with degenerative disc disease in both joints. I also have arthritis in my neck but had radiofrequency nerve ablation, so I don't really feel any pain there anymore.
