I Just Had My Second Botox Treatment Yesterday And This Morning My Migraine Is Worse Than It Was Before I Got The Injections.
This is only my second injection so I don't know if this is normal or not. For those that have more experience with Botox is this something that you have noticed?
I've been having Botox treatment now for about 18 months. I had a rolling 24/7 migraine for almost 2 years and my life was non existent. I did feel that for the first few months of the Botox initially in the first few days after Botox the pain felt worse. It took a good year of treatments to really get results but I suppose mine was an unusual case. I literally had a migraine that got stuck. Now I tend to suffer 3 debilitating migraines over a 10 week period with a few headaches in between. It's so worth persevering with the Botox.
@A MyMigraineTeam Member I get mine from my neurologist who specializes in migraines. She works in a clinic not a hospital.
I just had my 2nd last week, did not notice it got worse, did not think it helped so far.
Botox absolutely did not work for me. I only got anywhere from 3-6 weeks of relief from every round. My last resort was botox. I did 3 rounds and my neurologist had me stop. Its been two years and I am finally able to move my forehead muscles. For those that Botox works for, I am very happy you found something to relieve your pain. Sadly for me, I am still searching for my diamond in the rough.
