Dispose Used Aimovig Injections

I started Aimovig yesterday and was just wondering how to safely dispose of the injectors. Looked online, but the company that called me about this told me how to sign up, but I never heard anything afterwards. Any suggestions?

Since I get my Aimovig shots from Amgen Safely Net Foundation, they sent me a sharps recycling container. When it gets full, I send it back to them and they ship a new one.

I'm so happy for you Brent that this broke your migraine!! Finally!! Right?! Keep us posted.

I had purchased a Sharps Container from the pharmacy awhile back when on Aimovig so it wasn't an issue to go through disposing of the product in it at the time. When I needed a new product change for rheumatoid arthritis, methotrexate, using the sharps container became more valuable as it would not only be used monthly the container would get used weekly as well.

What I did was look on Amazon found McKesson containers that fit the size I needed to have then just purchased it. On top of that, the sharps container I got lasted me for a reasonable time frame. It is very easy to close your sharps container when they need to be closed also. Just close as it shows you then place them into your daily trash and that's it.

Thank you Lin! Yes, I am! After having Status Migrainosus for a month, Aimovig did the trick! And I felt relief instantly! My neuro said that he'll take me off of either Depakote or Neurontin or both if my number of migraine days are cut in half.

Ok. Thanks for your info. I ordered a Sharps container from Amazon.
