I have a prescription for lorazapam. I use it when my symptoms rear their ugly head. It makes me relax and sleep. When all else fails, sleeping works the best.

Propranolol works most of the time. When every rescue medicine fails, I use Valium. It helps, but it makes me fall asleep & be sleepy for a couple of days.

I also use lorazepam when all else fails. The lorazepam will put me to sleep, and I usually wake up without any side effects from the lorazepam. I also feel relief from the migraine.
My doctor has told me not to use it very often and I agree. I can get by with the lowest dose of lorazepam, taking just a half. And I probably do that less than three times a month.
