I have had severe migraines ever since I got my first period and as I got older the pain and symptoms worsened. I've taken every drug available and nothing worked or helped. I'd either suffer through the pain or end up at the hospital for a intravenous drip and sat there for 2 to 6 hours on the intravenous drip. I recently got a daith piercing in my right ear and it has worked wonders. I still get severe migraines but I don't have the pain intensity anymore and I don't take any medication for them. I just play with the piercing when I get a sign of a migraine and within 15 minutes the pain is either gone or not as intense. It's tolerable. Not sure if the piercing would work for your wife but it's worth a try.
