I wouldn't have ever put them together. I have it sometimes and I thought it was caused by wearing ear plugs and having wax build up. I am a light sleeper so I have found while earplugs only block some of the noise it helps enough so I don't wake up every time their is a noise.

I also have Tinnitus and Chronic Migraines and am interested in learning more. The "noise" is certainly worse when having a migraine.
