Is My Tinnitus Part Of My Vestibular Migraine?
I was told by my doctor that the tinnitus is a common side effect of most medications used to treat most neurological disorders.
I thought so too that my Tinnitus is related to my VM when I ask my doctors, they told me it might be possible coz the ringing did noy start until my VM. I asked my ear doctor and said it means I will have hearing problems and it turned out I have mild deafness. The ringing is loud at times, and it gets louder when I turn on the faucet.
I thought that was weird.
I have had tinnitis for many years now. I never paid attention to if it's connected to my migraines or not. Though I have noticed the tone and pitch will change before/during a seizure. I've had a few doctors think my seizures are migraine related though they've done nothing to figure out if that's the case or not.
@ BUCKHILL2 what is Tinnitus Retraining Therapy?
I have VM as well, but I don't have any hearing issues other than sensitivity. It definitely doesn't help, but I can't say for sure that it is a cause of your migraines or part of VM symptoms. Hope you are doing well.
I was just at ENT hearing test and I was told that I do have mild hearing loss on both ears that is why I have Tinnitus and I told him I started having tinnitus together with the symptoms of Vestibular Migraine and he said that it might be related too. So there's no straight answer why we are having tinnitus
