I may be going for my 2nd opinion. I’m on meds now but don’t feel better. Still have spinning and feel woozy when I get up from sitting or lying down. Using a cane to get around because I had a very bad spinning episode walking without the cane and fell. I’m 66 but feel like 90.

I've been diagnosed with vestibular migraine. It's been around 2 years and I still haven't found anything that's really worked. I feel like I've had a migraine since the beginning of December, I'll maybe have a couple of good days, then the dizziness and migraine comes back. I didn't have much luck with vestibular rehab, but I know others have. I have a second opinion appointment in February, so I'm hoping to at least get a confirmation and maybe some other things to try.

I’m so sorry you are experiencing this. The MRIs I’ve had only show some areas that they claim are caused by being a severe migraine sufferer. The occipital pain is so nauseating especially if a certain area is touched. I see a neurologist who prescribed a drug called Mobid which is non addictive and an anti inflammatory. I’m doing vestibular training with a physical therapist to basically get the signals from my cervical spine and brain to get realigned and help with reducing the dizziness. I’m also doing acupuncture. The dizziness is debilitating and has effected every aspect of my life. I’ll let you know if the physical therapy helps.

I've been dizzy for almost 2 years, have fallen 3 times..it's like walking in a funhouse. I'm grabbing walls, standing still and practically tipping over. I'm also having a flare right now. Pretty much every day. And my face gets so hot as if I have a fever, light and sound kill me. I have to adjust the TV settings and wear sunglasses inside. Nothing really triggers them. But these lumps under my scalp have grown emmensly in a month. Worst is the top middle of my scalp at the hairline but now it's my whole head and now going into the top of my forehead/face. Did you have an MRI? What have doctor's said or done. My areas are even starting to become somewhat "squishy". Makes me nervous and totally just fed up. My left shoulder and base of skull just beg to get rubbed but if I do for too long, I actually throw up from nausea

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me as I have been on this journey since July. What you are describing is exactly what I have, occipital neuralgia. I’m suffering with a flare up now. I have seen every specialist known to man and woman. Since the onset in July I have been in a constant state of dizziness. I’m here for you and anyone on this site who is or has suffered the same. Like migraine it can be incredibly lonely and isolating.
