I find it's hard to be happy when I'm in a lot of continuing pain, especially migraine pain. I don't think there is much worse than that. One day I was so sick that I took a triptan and then I took part of the contents of an old Fioricet capsule and the two hours later I took 50 mg. of Tramadol and put an ice pack on my head and just took it easy and managed to read and realized I was kind of happy just having no expectations of myself and being able to read. When I'm really suffering, I am happy when I have my little dog to cuddle with.

Same with me. It can be a 5/10 on the pain scale at 2:00, then a 10/10 at 2:15. No rhyme or reason to it. I haven’t pinpointed any triggers either. Wish I could, so I could avoid them!
