Migraines And Climate Change
Hi there
I am greatly impacted by changes in the barometric pressure - temp changes, big storms, etc. This winter has been especially rough weather wise as we transition to bigger and more intense storms. I have good medical care for my migraines but even still, there are more weather days that the meds can't fix. Today in the Northeast we are having yet another "record" storm. I was just wondering if other people are having the same issue? Thank you
Does anyone have all the dizziness mine start, stop, start back up again.
I hear you... all the way from Singapore, right smack on the Equator. Climate change is real. Where we are, temperatures are quite constant throughout the year. We have no seasons. In the first 2 months of 2023, it rained a lot, and the temperatures dipped. This 'weather phenomenon' not only caused migraines in me, but the flu bug came back with a vengeance after Covid took precedence in the last 3 years. I've heard many friends and their families being down with the dreaded flu.
Oh yes. I like on the West coast of Florida. Just miles from the Gulf. I lost my house to Hurricane Ian. And the builders have only gotten electrical and plumbing done in 6 months. Talk about stress. But in Florida it storms nearly every morning or afternoon or evening and even during the night. I wake up many morning mornings with migraine issues only to learn a storm is just of the coast or a rain shower.
I wish my family understood that just because the rain has stopped and the sun is out that the same barometric pressure that started it is still nearby. Best of luck to you and your weather issues. I know they are frustrating.
This is definitely a game changer for me. I can definitely tell when the weather is changing up. This one have me in bed everything. When the seasons changing my migraine let's me know. Ugh!
Yes I live in southeast Alberta and have migraines almost eeekly now due to the spring storms and weather changes.
