Does Anyone Else Suffer From Short Term Memory Loss?
I am on date 28 for straight migraine, noticed slowly that my memory is gone. Did I feed the kids? Did I take my meds? Anyone else experiencing this?
I get really depressed when I can't remember simple things or explain myself because the words won't come to me. I've had to accept it but I think it's a very hard thing to accept for me. Its everyday I remind myself of the blessings I do have but sometimes I still get depressed anyway.
I've noticed I have write things down more often.
I have found that I can't think about the memories. Because for me it brings more depression if I can't remember a certain time memory. You can always ask for help so you can enjoy that memory again. Plus trying not to feel guilty because of this. Try to relax with reading or music softly helps me to feel better keeping noise at bay. I hope this helps. Better days ahead for everyone.
It is a common side effect of some medications given for migraine. I take lamictal and it is great for short term memory loss and some of the other medications I'm on. Chronic pain can also cause short term memory loss. I can relate, I can't remember a few seconds ago sometimes, there's times I start a sentence and don't even know what I was saying before I finished it. I hope you feel better soon
Yes I’ve noticed my short term memory is shot when I have a migraine. But usually people don’t believe me.
