I always base how I react on level of migraine using pain scale 1 to 10, 1 being lowest 10 being highest. I turn right to Tylenol and a cup of hot coffee which always works. If migraine doesn't stop I will turn to one dose emergency medication Ubrelvy which tends to work. In the rare case it doesn't, I have turned to taking one dose of Flexeril and sipping on hot coffee which the combination also does work. What has happened many times I will be awake for quite a few hours in a darkly lit room with low light then begin napping off and on. Oh, something I did forget to mention, while I am drinking the hot coffee, I will also have a fresh water nearby. I want to keep my system hydrated with water not just coffee. As a matter of fact, I have a bottle of fresh water whenever taking medication because that is something I have preferred upon doing for my own health.
