Hey Y'all. I Have A Change In My Migraine Pain Lately And It Concerns Me.
All of a sudden, I feel a knife like pain going through my skull in the back, on the bottom right side below the ear. It is very quick, extremely painful, and very scary. Sometimes the same thing will happen on the top right. Does anyone know how to deal with this, or any ideas to help? Thanks.
I have a couple ideas One have you talked to the prescriber that gave you the medication. Is might be too strong for you? Certain medications you can only taken a certain times of the day. Ice packs can alleviate and numb some of the areas. I usually increase my magnesium. And last, A Tens unit to that area but I would speak to a doctor/prescriber before you approach this therapy. Just sharing ideas.. Other suggestions, you would need to speak to a professional and I don't know your history and I'm not a doctor..
Thank you!
Add to Carol3808, Tylenol seems to help as well with increase of magnesium.
coffee and a ice pack work well. When it first starts, I will try excedrin and if the doesn't work, I'll take an imitrex injection.
You could try an ice pack or heating pad. It works for me sometimes. Or black coffee, soda. A dark room that is cool works too.
