Has anyone on here tried the migraine diet mentioned in healing your headache book?If so what did you eat? Also can you eat nut products like almond milk and almond milk yogurt etc. On it? I have several food allergies and I wanted to know if it is possible to do this diet with 3 top eight allergens? Also does this diet work?

I just started that book, just past the diet section. I have been on a diet for inflammation, found on this site; so going on with Buchholz's diet method will just be another step for me. Ive always told myself that i would give up any food or drink if it would help. I'm anxious to get fully on board. I am an almond milk "user" for several things. I'm guessing since he says no nuts, it would include nut milks. I'll have to check the label, it may have some other ingredients in it that I need to avoid. I cook most of our meals anyway (just my husband and myself) so it's not too hard to think of things to fix that I can eat. Lots of fruits and veggies, raw and roasted, meats (avoiding cured meats) and very little breads, avoiding chips. It definitely is a challenge, but I'm up for it; just hoping for positive results. I feel better already, being on the antiinflammatory diet plan. Some conflicts with the Buchholz diet, but I just do the best I can. I'm definitely not perfect and follow to the letter.

I haven’t read the book, so I don’t know about the diet there. But after 11 years of chronic migraines, I’ve identified my own food triggers. I cannot eat gluten, chocolate, nuts, and aged cheeses. For my stomach, I also have to avoid spicy food, fried or greasy foods, and dairy products, so those might be triggers as well.
