Fiorcet
Has anyone taken fiorcet for migraines - any luck? What else do you take for rescue meds?
Just started. Seems to be helping
Force equals rebound h/a. I stopped taking it with no problems.
Be very careful with Fioricet. I was on it for many years and it caused terrible rebound headaches. This drug is also very hard to get off of. It did relieve my pain however within a few hours my migraines came right back. It is a vicious cycle.
You've had some tough times with meds, @A MyMigraineTeam Member! DHE is serious stuff, hope it's working for you!
I took Fiorcet from the late 80s until 1993. However, I do not tolerate NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofin, naproxene) and acetometaphine no longer works for me (so I don't take it either). It can and did cause rebounds for me. I now take Dihydroergotamine Mesylate (DHE) nasal spray and Reglan (nausea). I am on a bunch of supplements/meds to try to head them off as well. It's hard to take them though, nausea, you know!. If I cannot keep the Reglan down, I usually head for the ER at that point. I have also had DHE infusion therapy, which helped.
