Anyone Tried Or Considered Trying The Daith Piercing To Help With The Migraines?
The slow healing could well be caused by the amount of nickel in the metal. my daughter is allergic to metal so she is told. She wears my mom's wedding rings which is gold and very old but breaks out from newer gold. Her ears have been pierced for 15 years but if she leaves earrings out at night they completely heal over. SHE wears surgical plastic most of the time as they still haven't healed after all this time. Surgical plastic earrings are hard to find. She also has the top of her ears pierced, sorry I am not up on what they are called. two holes 1 earring and those she can get surgical plastic tubes to cover the metal but they haven't healed either. Perhaps if you could get it pierced with plastic it would heal. I can go months without wearing earrings and mine never heal over.
She does not get rashes from metal buttons etc just jewelry.
I read a lot about daith piecing. There's lots of people who swear it helped them. Here's an informal survey that was done about it:

It seems from the survey that the good results wear off over time, although there's just not enough information to say anything about it definitively. I'm a member of a Facebook group about daith piercing, and there are lots of folks having issues with infection and slow healing, which have scared me away from getting a piecing.
Have you tried acupunture for the area that you want pierced first. It maybe just a glimpse to see if it is worth it.
Mine did the same thing @A MyMigraineTeam Member. And I had nose ring that did it too. I have my ears are pierced and are fine though. I am thinking of doing acupuncture and ask them to put them there and see what happens.
