Are You Menopaused And Still Have As Many Migraines As Before?
I was always told that when I would be menopaused I should be free of migraines BUT on the contrary I have more than ever!
I tried that . It helps some , but not me .
My dr had me use saliva for testing , got a personalized hormone cream , from a compounding pharmacy .. Adjusted it to my needs .. It did help with hot flashes tho .
Wishing you luck .. Hormones are tricky but not impossible .
I haven't had a period since July (I'm 49). In the spring my migraines went from once a month or less to 10-20 a month. My GYN said low estrogen is the culprit here, and offered to put me on a low-dose hormone replacement therapy. But I'm trying a bunch of other treatments all at the same time, and she didn't want to add hormones into the mix - too complicated. If nothing else pans out, I might try hormones.
Me too....another check on my "I tried it" list!
Tammy , hope very soon your hormones help your migraines ..
I had a hysterectomy in 2010. Over the last few years my migraine frequency and intensity have increased. I can't say it's from the surgery, but it definitely did not "cure" me.
