Timing To Take Steroid?
My neurologist finally put me on a steroid, after deciding I need something stronger for my 'Status migrainosus' that started 9 days ago. I take Dexamethasone (4mg) 2x a day. Helped for a maybe 3hrs from my initial dose at 6 PM yesterday, but when it came to sleeping, I feel like a Jackson Browne song, "Running on Empty". I got to bed at 10 PM, but can't shake this migraine off and was up at 1:30 AM and finally fell back asleep after 4:00 AM, but only slept about another hour. Got my 6 hours of… read more
I don't think this is sinus related. It's like the entire right side of my face hurts, especially around my right eye. I'm seeing an ENT on Friday. My neurologist suggested I see an ENT about this because I'm having a lot of problems with vertigo.
So, my neurologist just suggested I go to an ENT about this. Made an appointment next Friday.
I'm going talk to my neuro about switching. I've felt so sick for last 2 weeks. No relief, eyes ache, right side of my head is killing me.
Thank you April.
Thanks April. I do too. I should be able to start Aimovig tomorrow. Needed to make sure my insurance would approve it- plus I got a copay card knocking down the cost from $70 to $15. But, I'm confused about my neuro's message cause he mentioned Botox and I asked to have my prescription of Aimovig sent to my home instead of going to the clinic.
Should get my new glasses in a week or so. I can really tell how my vision has worsened. My dad drives me to work everyday and I can't see a darn unless I'm really close up! Like the billboards along the road- I either can't read them or they look completely blank. I'm only in 30s- yes my vision in my left eye has been bad since I had a rare form of cancer as a child and had a tumor behind that eye, but I'm using 3 computer monitors everyday doing accounting work, which has affected the vision in my right eye.
