When I've had a chronic migraine that does not want to cooperate I will go with Flexeril as it is a muscle relaxer. I have gotten the okay from my pain management specialist to do this when it is absolutely necessary. I highly suggest speaking to your specialist before taking this direction so they are aware what your intentions are with pain medications.

I don't like taking Flexeril for migraines personally and rarely will do it but if I don't have a choice I will turn to that option.

Same. Used Flexeril for years for Certain Migraines & other health issues. But not my favorite. For me Flexeril on one hand may help migraine on the other hand it is guaranteed to trigger my Myasthenia Gravis. I havto weigh that everytime I consider taking it.

Magnesium can help relax muscles, which may reduce the duration of a migraine attack and restore a person to a calmer state. You can increase your magnesium levels naturally by consuming foods high in the mineral, such as:

- Nuts (almonds, cashews)
- Grains
- Cereals
- Legumes (lentils)
- Cocoa
- Spices
- Tea
- Coffee
