Traveling For The Holidays? If So, Can You Share Your Favorite Travel Tips?
I carry my regular meds and abortives with me wherever I go, I also carry emergency cold packs, eye covering and ear plugs. Dark sunglasses are a must for me and if I'm wearing them inside, my family and close friends know I'm not well, but trying to function. Driving, especially long distances can be tricky for me, so my husband does almost all the driving. Flying is a particular challenge and we always try to build in at least one day of recovery for me when flying nywhere. We once took a 10 day Caribbean vacation and I spent the first three days in bed while my family had fun in the water and at gret restaurants. I couldn't eat anything for four days.
I love driving to destinations because it's my quiet time.. But when it's really sunny. I now have to wear sunglasses.. it's Something new.. being amongst a lot of people bother me especially, when they're noisy and high pitch sounds.. I feel like a dog sometimes.. 🙂
I can’t travel so sending my husband to all festivities (out of state)
I always have a 7 day medical pill pack with all medications ready to go at all times and carry them in my purse and have a note from doctor that I take these meds for my migraine/cluster headaches since one is a controlled substance.
I understand you so well! Not so much fun to be away from home when you are diagnosed with migraines!
