Are There People Out There Suffering From A Chiari Malformation?
I recently ran across a post about from a year ago where someone posted they had been diagnosed with it.. are there others out there that gave had experiences with it or what their outcome was after surgery.. would also like to know if anyone has suffered from complications. Unfortunately I have and my surgery was over 15 years ago.. I look forward to any responses team members might have.. thanks in advance!!
I have never heard of it.😀
Forgive me but I don't think I ever responded to you... The way my surgery was performed isn't done like that anymore. They removed extensive bone from my top 3 vertebrae in my neck which today they only remove bone from the top vertebrae in your neck. That would explain my neck pain and instability I now have.. I refuse to go back to the same hospital that performed it because I feel that they only compounded my original problem. My insurance won't pay for me to seek treatment out of state so I'm stuck
I am not familiar with this surgery. You said you had it 15 years ago, are there advancements or studies you are aware of since you had surgery?
I have never heard of this what is it and what does it do?
I've got to look into this. I had enough head trauma through childhood through my twenties to fill an encyclopedia, including car accidents (hitting the windshield at 10 and whiplash at 16.) I doubt gymnastics helped either.
Interesting that none of my headache docs asked about head or neck injuries.
