Are Migraines Hereditary?
I have gotten my migraines under control for the most part. I found my big trigger was lactose so I stay away from it as much as possible. But now my son is getting migraines. I started getting mine around the age of 10 and so did he. He's not 13 and gets them almost weekly. Are migraines hereditary? Could his hormones make them worse because of his age? What are some relief options to use with him?
Mine are hereditary. All the women on my dads side of the family are all on disability because of them and mine are horrible.
Yes, in my family they are. I've had them over 50 yrs. my sister, my daughter and Grandaughter gets them as well as my niece. My son only gets them occasionally.
I am not entirely sure about the cause of my migraines. My mother said that she supposedly had only 2 headaches that could be classified as “migraines”. Not sure if that’s true or she’s just misremembering.
Mine are hereditary
