Just had my first one and I was rushed to the ER where they run every test they could. All of them are normal. So no stroke but it's scary.

Sorry to hear this darlin'. I was 37 when I had my strokes in 2011. Neurologist said it was just a very severe hemi migraine attack and wouldn't do a brain scan for four months. When he finally did the scan, it showed I'd had two strokes. I had all the usual tests to try to determine the cause but all results were normal so the cause has been recorded as the hemi migraine. I had a bad one a couple of weeks ago with a seizure the following day. Ever since, my weak side has been even weaker so I have to have a brain scan next week to check if I've had another stroke during the migraine....Scary stuff but no point worrying as it won't change anything...xx

I had a stroke last March. I had a very bad migraine at the time. Was in icu for 24hrs then moved to pic for 3 more days. I now stutter at times or can't get the words out I want. I can be in middle of a conversation and have no idea what we were talking about. Also when I talk sometimes I'll say a word in a sentence that doesn't make any sense. Very frustrating and I'm 47yrs old so age is not a factor.
