Cefaly Dual Device

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Cresco, IA

Has anyone use the dual cefaly device for when you have a migraine and to prevent migraines? So far I tried it with migraines and it didn’t work, it actually made it worse. I’m willing to try it without migraine as a preventative.

A MyMigraineTeam Member

I tried one of the Cefaly devices.
Whilst it prevented the odd migraine, mostly it either had no effect or it postponed the migraine until up to 8hrs later just in time to go to work!

Does Anyone Experience Changes In Sensation?

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Salt Lake City, UT

When I get my migraines I have changes to smell. I was tested for covid several times and never had it. It's like my sensation of smell dulls while I'm in my migraine and when it ends I am back to normal. Does anyone experience this?

A MyMigraineTeam Member

I wondered about that. That is the first time I've heard of an olfactory migraine, I'll have to Google it! Have a good day.

I've been on Ajovy monthly injections and I had a life, now this last month I can hardly move, sleep, eat etc. Just wondering could it be the botox?

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Old Orchard Beach, ME

I was wondering if anyone else suffers with headaches and migraines from other underlining health or mental issues?

A MyMigraineTeam Member

I am glad the surgeries helped! I've had three surgeries a long time ago and they helped but every now and again, if I am in a cold humid climate, they hurt. But I will not rule out that maybe some… read more

Ibuprofen And Hives-other OTC Options?

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Denver, CO

Hi-I went to an allergist today after my primary care physician refered me after a weekend of migraines, hives and digestive issues. She thought it might all be related to a food allergy. I found out I had a few food allergies but the main issues seems to be that ibuprofen could be giving me hives. I take ibuprofen often and I have very sensitive skin. I wonder if other people have issues with it and have other OTC painkillers for migraines.

A MyMigraineTeam Member

Whole foods and staying away from processed and chemicals seems to be the key. I know I have allergies, primarily to cloves, so it makes sense to me that eating plain food would be good. It does… read more

New Medication

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭
Ludington, MI

So my doctor used to prescribe Naratriptan but since my insurance no longer covers it she now prescribed me Relpax. I guess my question is has anyone tried this medication? Any side effects good or bad? Haven't had to take any yet ( knock on wood) but I'm trying to get other people's opinions about it before I do.

Propranolol

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

Recently had an MRI and it showed a lot of white matter which I know is common with chronic migraines. Diagnosed with ischemic brain disease after this. I’m having severe pressure in my head like it’s going to explode so my neurologist prescribed Propranolol ER. I’m kinda scared of the side effects though & if I have to stop it I’m worried about withdrawals. Starting at 60mg
Side effects with extended release?

Propranolol gave me intense nightmares
