Can't give you any information on Nurtec but can say the Ubrelvy works better for me than the Migrinal has been doing. Ran into miserable migraines this past time around, thankfully was able to have something that could keep up as the migraines that came in were so bad I had auras with them along with nausea and vertigo. Haven't had migraines like that in a few months, but at any rate the Migrinal was pulled as it did more damage than benefit. Went with Ubrelvy as the emergency medication and another medication for the nausea.

### Nurtec ODT (Rimegepant)
- Usage: Approved by the FDA for the acute treatment of migraine in adults, with or without aura. Also used as a preventative treatment for episodic migraines.
- Mechanism: Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonist. It blocks specific cell receptors and inhibits pain transmission.
- Administration: Taken orally as tablets as needed.
- Common Side Effects: Nausea.
- Serious Side Effects: Hypersensitivity reactions, including difficulty breathing and rash.

### Summary of Differences
- Preventative Use: Nurtec ODT is also used for preventative treatment of episodic migraines, while Ubrelvy is not.
- Side Effects: Both have nausea as a common side effect, but Ubrelvy also lists sleepiness. Nurtec ODT has serious side effects like hypersensitivity reactions.
- Mechanism: Both are CGRP receptor antagonists but may have different specific actions and side effect profiles.
