That's good news! So far, Verapamil has been working for me. But I will definitely keep your regimen in mind if I get less than satisfactory results from Verapamil.
Hi Lori,
I found a calcium channel blocker by accident. Literally! Never had issues with my blood pressure till I broke my arm and needed a couple of surgeries to fix it. My BP blew up so I got put on Amlodipine. Because of my frequent migraines I had also recently started taking Amitriptyline - just 10mg - low dose. Surprise, surprise my migraines eased up and since continuing on both, the migraines have continued to improve both in frequency and severity. I've tried lots of other meds, treatments but this combo really seems to be helping. Migraines are so individual and I hope you find what works for you.💕
Yes it’s consider a beta blocker. It’s quite common to be prescribed. At least that’s what my doctor had told me the time it seem to work OK for a little bit for me, but I have low blood pressure issues and because it’s a blood pressure class medication to help people with high blood pressure therefore low blood pressure my doctor thought it would be better if I stopped it because my blood pressure started getting abnormally low, if you have normal blood pressure probably should be fine on it. I wish you the best.
