Advice For Decreasing Excedrin Migraine Taken 3 Times A Day Every Day. Neurologist Says Have To Stop, Doesn't Say How.
Your doctor is the best person to ask how to wing yourself off of any medication…
My neurologist suggested Aleve for current headaches.
I’m currently on once a month Aimovig reduces my migraines. Don’t get me wrong I still get debilitating migraines just not as frequent and not as severe as they were. The thing is to know your triggers and avoiding them. I can tell when I’m about to get a migraine there are usually signs. When I feel one coming on I take one Aleve one Benadryl and a nausea pill (prescribed Rx) and do breathing exercises. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. There’s no science to treating migraines it’s what works for you.
You know for me they wanted to cut the fiorcet because of rebound headaches. But guess what. On the lucky days I don’t have a migraine. I need fiorcet. So I feel also some may have. rebound headaches. I have to do what helps me carry on with life.
Yes!!
Sounds like you’re having rebound headaches due to to many Over the Counter medications.
Try making an appointment with a neurologist for an evaluation. Keep a log of how many times you get a headache and what your taking for them.
Good luck
