Do Others Think That You Now Have A Migraine Since You Got What You Wanted Done Not What They Wanted?

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had the above occur and someone got angry at me for this when in reality I thought I could have one all day and after work it started but I tried preventing it with meds and water. This did not work and thus it became non functional after we did what I wanted and did not get to what they wanted to do. I believe the stress from this person and this incident and the stress at work triggered it. How do you deal with this?

This is actually a matter of trust. Does this person actually believe you have migraines? Do they understand what a migraine really is? Or that you have absolutely no control over your attacks? I'm lucky because my husband works for a brain injury association and he actually knows how the brain works. Plus as he often says, "Can't be much fun for you, so why would you choose it?" Other words, he KNOWS I don't want migraines and that I'd rather be doing anything rather than suffering through one.

It sounds like a non-believer. If they have never had one, they seem to be the person that has little to no compassion for others and is very selfish. Move on from people like this. If they have no clue, they don't deserve you!
