What were you advised to do if you have had this occur? I see my neurologist Thursday and will talk to him about situation then, but am wondering if I am alone with this symptom.

@A MyMigraineTeam Member I tried the occipital nerve block & it didn't work for me, but botox does help with the intensity. I hope the nerve block works for you!!

I am on day 5 of a migraine. I am not taking the abortive meds as I don't want to end up in rebound headache cycle. Sumatriptan quit working about a year ago. Tried botox and it made my migraines harder to break. Am allergic to phenergan and dilaudid. Also allergic to Demerol, morphine. Dr's don't have many other options. Tramadol doesn't seem to help me any nor does toradol. I don't know what to do at this point. Very frustrated. Thinking about asking about occipital nerve block. Had ct of my brain when I started getting migraines in 2004.

Yes. Shortly after I use sumatriptan or phenergan, I always find that I end up with worse puffy eye lids, and in general look bad into the
next day, even if the migraine lessons.

Good luck Thursday. When I started getting migraine attacks is when I got pregnant with each of my 3 kids it got worse. By my 3rd child ( now 14 ) it was out of control. I was admitted to the hospital, I thought I was dying ( no I swear I'm not exaggerating lol ). They did a sadation MRI and I had so many lescions on my brain. They were lesions of someone who suffers from migraines.
I used to go to the ER and my neurologist said he couldn't see me going to the ER every time they were that bad. He asked if I was ok treating them at home. I said uh yea so long as it doesn't involve a needle.
He put me on Compozine 25mg suppositories and dilated. The nausea meds ( Compozine), I was to take and wait 15-20 minutes till I could take the dilated ( so I wouldn't throw them up ). Totally works. I had tried everything and this was the best for me.
I don't mind if you share this w your neurologist.
I hope he orders you an MRI.
Again GOOD LUCK on Thursday!! Hugs

This one worked wonderfully, so far. Had some nausea and dizziness, but that has subsided and now I just have all my other pain issues(fibromyalgia and broken foot)
