Does Anyone Else Find Their Migraines Get Worse As TIhe Days Shorted?
For several years I've found that as we move into Autumn with less daylight, my migraines get worse, so that by mid-December I'm really struggling with a lot more, and also with migraine related vertigo. Does anyone else have this, or have any thoughts as to why and ideas to help?
There is a link between migraines and depression/seasonal affective disorder, low light levels, more artificial lighting being used.
When colder we can tense around the neck and shoulders not helpful for migraine sufferers
@Helena Richards I do not seem to have more migraines as the days get shorter
The Cefaly is devices needs to be prescribed by a doctor. It is worn on the head, no surgery involved.
That's useful AbiZachari - I do get cold and tense, so I can also imagine that this adds to it. I've just put in daylight bulbs at home, but I'm yet to see any positive effect from this.
My migraines are slightly better in the winter. The cold air on my face is lovely and we get plenty cold air here in Scotland
